Vince Rossini Bio

Mayor Pro Tem Vincent Rossini was elected to the Villa Park City Council in 2016, and again in 2020. He served as Mayor in 2019.

Rossini is currently serves as Chair on the Human Resources Committee and Vice Chair on the Community Development and Public Safety Committee. In addition, he serves on the Law Enforcement Advisory Committee, Infrastructure Management Advisory Committee and the Friends of the Villa Park Library. He also represents the City of Villa Park on future planning issues involving the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA).

Rossini is an active volunteer, leader, and a Law Enforcement Officer. As a resident Law Enforcement professional, he served as the founding Chairperson to establish the Villa Park Law Enforcement Advisory Committee (LEAC), which coordinates with the Orange County Sheriff Department to assess crime prevention and traffic violation control issues. He also volunteers with many other organizations in and around Villa Park.

As a Law Enforcement Officer, Rossini has served as a Field Training Officer, Associate Investigator with the Multi-Disciplinary Accident Investigation Team, member of the Special Response Team, and Investigator with the Critical Incident Investigation Team. He has been recognized as an expert in accident investigation and other disciplines and given meritorious commendations by local, state and federal law enforcement organizations, law enforcement officials, and elected officials.

Rossini formerly interned in the office of Los Angeles City Mayor Richard Riordan. He was recruited by Los Angeles City Councilman John Ferraro and served the City of Los Angeles in the communities of Los Feliz, Hancock Park, Hollywood, and Silver Lake. He provided policy analysis on local government issues, including infrastructure, communications, public safety, public outreach and ethics. Before becoming an officer, Rossini helped build a successful and profitable aviation business. Rossini has been selected to serve on the boards of privately held corporations and he has also volunteered to lead homeowner’s organizations with assessed homeowner values more than four-billion dollars.

A product of public schools, he was awarded an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy and a Dean’s Scholarship to the University of California (USC). He went on to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Public Administration from USC.

Rossini and his wife Laura, a municipal law attorney, have been married for over a decade and have two young children. Rossini is active in coaching their sports teams and Laura is active with their school activities and has served as a “Team Mom” and “Room Mom.”
