The Code Enforcement Officer has with a wide range of responsibilities including interaction with the public over the counter, site visits, and property owner interaction. Code Enforcement activity is complaint-based and encompasses broad issues such as inoperable vehicles, poor property maintenance, debris accumulation, inappropriate storage of vehicles or materials, correction of the City’s Municipal Code Violations, and land use requirements. Construction and Gardening Hours
In accordance with Villa Park Municipal Code § 6-6.7 regarding noise control, construction is permitted on weekdays from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm and on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Yard work is also permitted during those hours and is additionally allowed on Sundays from 8:00am to 8:00 pm.
Short-term Rentals
Short-term rentals are NOT allowed in the City of Villa Park. If anyone is aware of any please contact City Hall at (714) 998-1500 or complete the Code Violation Complaint Form below.

Sec. 23-3.5. Short-term rentals.
a. Prohibition. It shall be unlawful for any person to offer or make available for rent or to rent (by way of a rental agreement, lease, license or any other means, whether oral or written) for compensation or consideration a residential dwelling, a dwelling unit or a room in a dwelling for less than thirty (30) consecutive days. It shall be unlawful for any person to occupy a residential dwelling, a dwelling unit or a room in a dwelling for less than thirty (30) consecutive days pursuant to a rental agreement, lease, license or any other means, whether oral or written, for compensation or consideration.
b. Advertising of short-term rentals prohibited. No person or entity shall maintain any advertisement of a short-term rental prohibited under section 23-3.5.
