Jordan Wu was elected to the Villa Park City Council in 2022 and is honored to service its residents.
A Taiwanese native, Jordan immigrated to the United States at the age of 15. After graduating from San Marino High School, he earned a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, with a minor in Marketing from Cal Poly Pomona. While a student, the foundation for his commitment to community engagement was formed. He served in several campus activities including Orientation Services, Public Relations Student Society of America, AmeriCorps, Greek Council, Resident Advisor, and a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity, in which he remains active today as a Past National Officer.
Upon moving to Villa Park in 2016, Jordan has served in several capacities within the community including Dad's Club President at Villa Park Elementary and Nohl Canyon Elementary, Parent Faculty Student Organization (PFSO) at Villa Park High School, and Villa Park Community Services Foundation. In 2021-2022, Jordan has been named both Volunteer of the Year by the VPHS PFSO and Villa Park Rotary Club Mark Schmidt Award.
After spending 15 years in healthcare management, Jordan left his career in 2017 to serve as an at-home parent to his two daughters who attend school in OUSD. As active community members, Jordan and his wife organize the Villa Park annual HalloweenFest. As the Assistant Chair of the Villa Park Ciommunity Services Foundation, he broadens community outreach and creates many multicultural celebration events throughout the City including Lunar New Year, Ramadan, Diwali, and Hanukkah.
On the weekends, Jordan can be spotted riding around town on his Harley Davidson Heritage Springer.
